Ice skating in Bucharest

Even if winter is not here 100%, the ice skating rings are looking great and are waiting for locals and tourists to try them. As, Bucharest is pretty flat and we don’t have any slopes around, ice skating is one of the funniest and healthy activities that you can do during the cold season.

Everywhere the price is 10 lei during week, 15 lei at weekends. Just so you know all of them have skates available for rent. Here is a list of best ice skating rings in Bucharest and their timetables:

Cismigiu Ice ring is located at the lake in Cismigiu park. Due to its beautiful location, its old trees and bridges, it is the most loved and largest in the city. With a surface of 3000 m2, it has a capacity to take 1,000 people.

Open every day. 10.00 – 21.00

Price: 10 lei during week, 15 lei in weekends.

Herăstrău is an open air ice skating ring open close to Herastrau Park, behind the Embassy of China. Is a bit smaller, with a a surface of only 1.500 m2 but still very nice.

Open every day. Mon – Fri 10.00 – 21.00, Weekends 10.00 – 24.00

Price: 10 lei during week, 15 lei in weekends.

Further downtown is Drumul Taberei Ice ring. This is the place to be if you like to party more than skating. A lot of concerts and contests are organized, the atmosphere is very entertaining and there is even a DJ playing music!

Open every day. Mon – Fri 12.00 – 23.00, Weekends 09.00 – 02.00
